Michael Alpiner wrote for Forbes.com from November 2018 to November 2021. He has served as Associate Publisher and contributing editor with Business Traveler Magazine. He has written for New York Lifestyles Magazine, and currently writes for Global Traveler Magazine. He has a column (The Travel Daddy) in Travel Ticket Magazine.

Alpiner is a published poet, fiction writer, and a professor of writing. He earned a BA in English, an MA in Education, and an MFA in Creative Writing. He has reported on Irish cuisine and culture for The New York Post (with Gretchen Kelly) for the St. Patrick's Day feature. Michael ran poetry events at Barnes and Noble, served as Writer-in-Residence at The Louis Armstrong Museum, and was a manuscript judge for Alice James Books. His work appears in print and online journals, as well as in anthologies such as Blood to Remember: American Poets After the Holocaust (2007). He has completed multiple poetry manuscripts and a full-length historical fiction novel entitled Lillie: The Cantor’s Daughter.
